sit does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.
Your timer settings — round length, which bells ring and when, how many rounds —
are saved on your device so the app remembers how you like to sit. If a sit is
interrupted, the app also remembers that it was running, so it can pick it back
up.
That is the entire contents of the app's storage. It lives on your device, in
the app's own container. It is never uploaded anywhere.
data anywhere, because there is nothing in it that knows how to.
Notifications. The app asks for permission to send notifications the first
time you begin a sit. It uses them only as a backup for the bells: if the app is
shut down mid-sit, a local notification still rings the bell at the right time.
These are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. Declining the
permission does not stop the app working; it only removes that backup.
Background audio. The app plays audio while it is in the background so the
bells sound with your screen off. No recording ever takes place, and the app does
not request microphone access.
The app is safe for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including
children.
